Mrs. Gibson RTI2/Academic Coach

Hello! My name is Mrs. Jamie Gibson. I am RTI2 supervisor and interventionist for reading and math, testing coordinator, building level academic coach, and fill in AP.  I am on my 19th year of teaching at Camp Creek Elementary. I graduated with honors from Tusculum University with my B. A. in k-8th education, and was inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa sorority. I also attended Union College and graduated with my Masters, 4.0, and Ed.S, 3.97, in Educational Leadership. I have been the school level learning leader, district level learning leader, and testing coordinator throughout my career. I have also taught 6th, 7th, and 8th grade ELA, second grade, and third grade for 5 years before evolving into the Interventionist/Academic role. 

 

I have been married for 28 years to my husband, Jerome Gibson. We have two beautiful girls, Alexus and Aliyah. Alexus graduated from Tusculum University with a degree in Biology, double minor Chemistry and Psychology. She also graduated from Liberty University with a masters in Psychology. Aliyah attends Tusculum University and is a Senior. She hopes to become a guidance counselor in the future. 

 

My personal hobbies include shopping and eating. I am truly blessed to be included in the Camp Creek Team!
