Cortni Donahue
Hi, everyone!
My name is Cortni Donahue, and I am the librarian at Camp Creek Elementary School! I am married to Kyle Donahue, who is the associate principal at Chuckey-Doak High School. We have a wonderful daughter, Teaguen, who attends Doak Elementary School.
I was born in Greeneville, Tennessee, where I was raised my entire life. I attended Doak Elementary School for grades kindergarten through eighth grade. I graduated from Chuckey-Doak High School in 2007. I then pursued my undergraduate degree in education at East Tennessee State University, where I graduated in December 2011. I am currently pursuing my master's in library and information science from Trevecca Nazarene University, where I will graduate in July 2025.
My first teaching position was a four-month interim position at Chuckey-Doak Middle School, teaching sixth-grade English. I was then hired at Chuckey Elementary School to teach fourth-grade science and social studies. After teaching one year in fourth grade, I moved to fifth grade to teach English/language arts at Chuckey Elementary School for six years. In August 2019, I moved to Doak Elementary School to teach fifth-grade English/language arts and social studies, and this is where I remained until I was hired to be Camp Creek Elementary School's librarian in August 2024.
I am honored to be at this wonderful school, working with the most precious students in Greene County Schools!
